Very informative post. Cataracts are indeed a very serious disease. You should definitely get yourself checked if you see any symptoms. If your parents or grand parents are old, you should keep getting them checked regularly for cataracts because like you said, it’s very common in old people.

People normally get cataracts due to aging. Make sure you see an optometrist to follow up, eyes are really important when you get older.

Cataracts is a serious problem. If you find out I would suggest doing surgery. Just take care of your eyes, its important. The surgery is normally about 20 minutes or so.

Thank you for such an educative post. I am sure it will help some people to prevent cataracts. The post is informative and to the point, there is pretty much nothing to add!

My father have suffered from cataracts at the age of 60, he died at 70 because of complications associated with his condition. Cataracts should not be taken lightly, it is a serious health problem, rendering many elderly people almost blind.
