Very informative post. Cataracts are indeed a very serious disease. You should definitely get yourself checked if you see any symptoms. If your parents or grand parents are old, you should keep getting them checked regularly for cataracts because like you said, it’s very common in old people.

I had Cataract surgery on my left eye in ‘01 and the procedure was pretty simple and as you described. I am excited to see that there some great advances as well.

How serious can cataracts be? No matter what, please see an optometrist. They are professional eye doctors that can tell you more about what’s going on in your eyes.

People normally get cataracts due to aging. Make sure you see an optometrist to follow up, eyes are really important when you get older.

Cataracts is a serious problem. If you find out I would suggest doing surgery. Just take care of your eyes, its important. The surgery is normally about 20 minutes or so.
